We produce our own seed for many of our crops. This process is very rigorous, and involves selecting only the best plants in each generation as the seed plants for the next year's crops. Our philosophy focuses on selecting for hardy plants that don't require special attention in order to produce good yields. We never use insecticides or herbicides, so the plants that are able to produce in spite of the natural weed and insect pressure are the ones that are being selected for seed production. Then, within that group, only the best producers are selected, within the constraints of needing to maintain a minimum population size for certain species. We do accept pre-orders for varieties that are out of season; contact us for prices, current availability, or to place an order! All seed varieties are MOFGA-certified organic.
